The Zube Tube has been around since 1989 and continues to be fun. This unique musical instrument allows the child to enjoy new sounds and create special effects. It is safe and durable and does not need batteries. Your child will use their imagination and easily play music with the product. The acoustic coil is strung between two resonators within a fiberboard tubing. It is capable of producing a variety of unusual sounds. The child can shake, twist, pluck, or talk or sing into it.

The product was first introduced in 1989, having been invented by Robert Deissler, a physicist who has worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory and NASA. He has been recognized for his work in pattern formation in non-linear systems and has lectured around the world. He came up with the idea while a student at Case Western Reserve University. During a physics course he noted a Slinky touching a Styrofoam cup produced and amplified a very unusual sound pattern. He experimented with a different type of spring and realized he had something interesting.
