Tree Blocks / Tree Blocks (TB36)

Tree Blocks have expanded upon classic blocks and created a new form and shape. Each freeform piece has different shapes. Each set is one of a kind and comes in a drawstring sack with attractive logo block. The opportunity for children to play with Tree Blocks gives them an opportunity to build and create using their imagination. The Tree Blocks set allows the child to build freeform building while they are expanding their imaginations, learning math and metric systems. The set includes a Y or a fork pieces. The set of 36 pieces allows the child a challenge of creating in open-ended patterns. They can finally put it all together with the tree house and the additional accessories. These blocks will captivate your child and you in developing products together. Tree Blocks are creative and an enjoyable way of building.

The inventor of this product, Karl Oppen, designed the innovative blocks, is a committed educator, and has traveled throughout the world spreading the concept of building with natural enjoyable product materials. He thought of the idea while making his son’s tree house in summer, 1993. He made balcony railing posts with branches, and then he gathered the cut-off pieces. His son showed interest in playing with them, so he did not throw them away. The idea remained and developed eventually to become tree blocks. He made his first wooden toys at about age 8 from driftwood on the shores of Lake Michigan. He designed toys and furniture for blind and disabled people and has been developing houses, furniture, toys, and sculpture.
