Mythmatical Battles is a dueling card game for two players or two teams. It blends mythology and multiplication to create an innovative game that allows children to drill multiplication while learning mythology. Each deck has 55 cards featuring gods, heroes and monsters from Greek, Celtic, Norse or Egyptian mythology. Each card has one multiplication equation for its attack strength and one equation for its defense strength. One deck contains all of the multiplication equations from 1 times 1 to 9 times 9. Players take turns drawing cards from the decks, placing them to the field (the table or floor) and challenging their opponent’s cards. The card with the highest product wins special cards and can change other card’s strengths. The game ends when one player’s deck is exhausted. The player with the most cards in the Plunder Pile at the end wins. It takes about 45 minutes to play. This is a fun activity to play anytime of the year and is a particularly fun activity during the summer. This is a great way for your child to brush up on and strengthen their math skills while learning about classic mythology from diverse cultures.
