JACK IN THE BOX - 1961- REPAIR
I have a 1961 jack-in-the-box in virtually mint condition, but the puppet was apparently pulled out of the box. The metal case so of course sealed with rolled metal. I assume that any repair will void any value of the box, but is there a method for properly fixing this? Thus far, all I can see is cutting a part of the bottom out, making the repair, and sealing the bottom back up.  Any suggestions? Thanks!  Charlie

JETZ CAR - 1950's
When I was quite a bit younger, in the late 1950's, I had a little yellow plastic car that I believe was called a JETX car. It was powered by a metal tube approximately the size of a lipstick tube that slid under the car at the rear. This tube was loaded with a solid orange block after which a fuse was coiled and pushed through a screen after which a nozzle was placed over the end of the tube. The fuse was lit with a match and shortly after the car was propelled along the ground like a rocket. I have been unable to find any information on this long lost toy, so any information you could provide would be appreciated. Thank you.

JINGLE JUMP
My mom is looking for a toy that she had as a kid growing up, it was called Jingle Jump. The description she gave me was that it was a rope with a loop on one end (to go around the foot) and the other end had something like a box that had bells in it. The object was basically the same as modern day Skip-it, where you make it go around your foot and you jump over the rope part. She said she found very little information on it, she said it was made some where around 1965, and thinks it might be made by Hasbro. I'm basically trying to find out any more information on it, and see if there might be anybody out there who might have any for sale. Could you point me in the right direction? Thank you. Melissa

Our 18 month old twins are using a jumpolene at a friend's house. They love it. Do you think it is safe? There are several varieties. Target .com and Dairyboy.com carry the one they use. It is tall and has open spaces for them to crawl in and out themselves. There is also about 3-400 balls in the jumpolene.

JUNIOR TOY DIVISION - AMF PEDAL TRACTOR - 1960's
I am looking for split rivets for the above tractor that was purchased in the 1970's. It had a single front wheel and the split rivet allowed the front wheel to turn. It was always a bad design and we had a supply to these split rivets that we had to replace quite often. Now my grandchildren use the same tractor and I am down to my last one. Regular rivets do not work. Can you help? Stan.

LARGE WALKING BUGS
Does anyone remember from either the late 1960's or early 1970's a line of large (maybe 8" or 9" long) walking bugs? I think they were battery operated, but they may have been wind-ups. I remember I had a spider-like creature who had fangs that opened and closed as he walked. They may have come with small human figures for them to "attack". I have wracked my brain and can't remember what they were called. I've searched the web pretty thoroughly, but without a name for them or the company that made them, I'm coming up blank. Back around 1969 to 1971, I was at another kids house and I remember they had this toy airplane that was about 4 ft long and was a VERY good plastic replica of a Boeing 727 or Boeing 707. LION - TREADMASTERS - 1995.
The first is regarding cleaning moldy toys using artificial skin for realism. I have a lion from Trendmasters from about 1995 and it got moldy when touched lightly. What should I clean it with that will not damage the toy or the skin? (the skin can be removed). The second is why are few toy companies using artificial skin in their toys. The skin adds to the realism and makes the toy both feel alive and covers all the joints and gaps. (especially mechanical ones).The third is why is it that soft artificial skin in mechanical animal toys are so hard to find? I think these toys are very fun to have and play with. Wowwee and Trendmasters have some toys out but not many. This leads to my final (and hardest) question. Where can I find a list of all the mechanical toys using artificial skin?
