MAGIC SAND CASTLE
I am looking for an old toy which I believe is called Magic Sand Castle. I can't recall who manufactured it. The Magic Sand Castle came in a blue bottle which resembled a genie bottle. Inside the bottle was some kind of sand You poured the sand into a bowl of water and it would form sand castles and such. When the sand was taken out of the water it would crumble. I believe the Magic Sand Castle also came in a red and yellow bottle. Please help me!

I am trying to find the name of a game I played in the 1970's. It was a marble game. It came with a marble shooter that stood about 8 inches tall and was shaped like a boy. You put the marble in its back and it would shoot out the front onto the plastic marble mat. I think there was also a ring around the mat for the shooter to slide along. Thanks for any help you can give me. Iain and Bev

Matchbox produced the Mobile Action Command line of rescue hero figures from 1974-1978. I can find only a single site with any additional information. My question: doesn't anyone else have an interest in collecting these? And if so, can you direct me to a place to buy? Ken.
I am in search of a math scale that was in my kindergarten classroom. It was a plastic balance scale that had numbers of varying weights (1 weighed the least, 9 the most). When you combined two of the smaller numbers, they would equal the weight of the larger equivalent number. The numbers had loops at the top of each which would fit over a hook on each end of the balance. The model I remember was white plastic, with bright red accents and medium blue numbers. Have you ever heard of this toy? Of course, I was in kindergarten in 1962. This may be an impossible task, but it made the concept of equal much clearer to me. Thanks! Yes, I did look through all your listings; I remember a lot of those toys!
MATH SCALE - RESPONSE
I remember having a math scale like the one you described. I agree, what a wonderful teaching aid. I wish they still made them. Haven't seen another one since I had mine. Tina

METAL ROLLER COASTER - 1970's
In the very early 1970's, I had a metal roller coaster, approx. 3' high and 6 to 8' long. It consisted of wooden cart on wheels which rode down a track made from tubular metal. The track had two "dips" in it. The child climbed up a small ladder, sat in the cart, and rode down the track. Have you ever heard of this? It was great fun. Trigg
METAL TOY - ROTATING ARM
In the 1930's my favorite toy was a drawing device made of metal. You put round sheets of paper into it. There was a rotating arm that you placed your fingers into. The arm held a pencil. By moving the arm, you could make wonderful designs. I have looked for years for this toy. They made some in the 1960's out of plastic, but they were not nearly as clever as the one from the 1930's. What were they called, and where I might see one? Thanks, M.J.
METAL TOY - ROTATING ARM - RESPONSE
The generic name is "Spirograph" But the trade name of the toy was "Hoot-Nanny" I just bought one on E-Bay. Good Luck. Frank.

MILITARY ARMY JEEP - 1949
I have an old 1949 military jeep in very good condition. However, I don't have the original packaging that cam with the toy as it was a Christmas present for me when I was six years old. I would like to know the value of this toy. Any suggestions? The color is army green. It has a driver in the driver's seat and in the back of the jeep there are two soldiers sitting behind anti-aircraft guns that tilts up and down. The soldiers and the guns can be turned in a 360 degree circle. It has the gas can and a spare tire. It's modeled after a WWII Willis jeep. Like I mentioned, it's in very good condition. MILITARY THEME - 1990'S
I am hoping you can help me with something that I feel is almost a lost cause. In the early 1990's, I purchased a toy plane at a Wynn's retail location that was part of a line of other toys. The toys had a military theme to them, with a developed story and two sides, similar to G.I. JOE. The line of toys included, as I recall, both land base items and other planes. The concept for the toys was the they were supposedly extremely large. The actually plane that I purchased was perhaps 9 inches long and light blue in color. The forward third of the plane could separate into a individual vehicle. It had, as I recall, five very small moveable (swivel) turrets, including one on the forward third (the part that could separate). At the rear of the plane was a moveable ramp that slid out and to which a smaller plane (dark grey or black in color) could be piggybacked. The smaller plane was included with the larger plane. I am hoping that from this meager bit of information you could me a name of the line of toys or a manufacturer. I suspect but do not accurately recall if the toy was made be Mattel, Hasbro, or Bandai. It could as easily be none of these. I realize I am asking a virtual impossibility, but any help at all would be vastly appreciated.
MILK CAPS - POGS
Is there any chance you could help me locate some Milkcaps? Blank ones, that is, so that I can make them into Pogs. I find them very useful in my classroom. Perhaps you could give me some suggestions as to where to look.

Please let me know if there is anything else I'm missing.

MODEL "A " TIN CAR
I have been trying to find a toy's value. I have talked to antique dealers about it, but no one can find this item in any book. The car is about six inches tall and six inches long. My guess is the car was made in the early 1920's. It is made of tin colored black, green, and orange. The car has a lever action on the side of it that turns the back wheels. The car still works and is in excellent condition. On the back of the car there is printed a T on top of an M in a diamond shape, and it says trademark of Modern Toys Japan. On the bottom of the car there are four sets of patent numbers: these are 27579 104210 100166 103627. My father gave me this car in 1975 and told me it was the first moving car ever made. Joyce.

MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS - GUITAR
Help! Last Christmas I received a toy catalog that showed a children's guitar in it. The guitar lit up the different chords, so a child could learn where to place their fingers and to learn to play on his own. It cost around $100.00. I finally have the money to buy this guitar, but cannot find the catalog. I have surfed the net - even called ETOYS, but to no avail. Please, please help me find this item. I have a very deserving and talented son just waiting for me to get the information together to order this. Much appreciation in advance, sincerely, Sharon.

MUSICAL WIND-UP - ELEPHANT

She doesn't have arms and legs, for she is in the kneeling position. She had a small silver metal wind-up peice on her left side, and played music. She can stand freely when placed on a smooth surface, but is still considered a stuffed-animal. I have tried looking everywhere to see who manufactures this toy because I absolutely love it! If it helps to send a picture, please let me know what address I can send it to, so that you may be able to pinpoint where she's from! Thanks so much!

NESTLE'S DISNEY CHOCOLATE BALLS
These were plastic balls covered with chocolate, each ball contained a surprise Disney toy from either 101 Dalmatians, Lion King, or a few other Disney films. They were taken off the shelves due to concern over children choking on the ball or the toy inside. They were called Nestle's Magic Balls and came in a small box. The ball coated in Nestle's chocolate was covered in foil wrap. I think there were twenty-four toys in a complete set. Thanks for any information about where I might find them. Mary Kay.

NOVELTY TOY - 1960's
I've been trying to find out about a 'toy' of the late 1950's or early 1960's (and *not* the Addams Family "the Thing" bank). It was a black box, about 8 inches by 6 inches by 6 inches or so. You turned it on, it thumped and whirred (if I remember correctly), a trapdoor in the top of the box opened, and a hand or a finger rose up and out and pushed a lever that turned it off. Then the hand or finger withdrew back into the box. The End. It was really stupid ... and quite funny :) I've come quite a few folk who remember it, but I can't find anybody that remembers what it was *called* or who made it or the year it came out or ANYthing. Can you help me? Thank you.
