PARACHUTE TOY
Where can I find Poopa Troopers? They are small soft plastic figures, in a variety of goofy poses. They usually have painted helmets, always have bug eyes, and of course, always have parachutes. They were made by the Imperial Toy Corp. Thanks!

PARACHUTE TOY - POOPATROOPERS - RESPONSE
Sadly enough the Poopatroopers that we knew and loved (early 1970’s) are no longer available, the company that made them is still around and sells a similar item under the same name.  "1971 Sky Diving Poopatroopers, Sky diving figures by Imperial Toy Corporation:  Founded in 1969 and headquartered in Los Angeles, Imperial Toy Corporation is a privately held toy manufacturer with a catalogue of 900 toys. Additional facilities are in Memphis, TN; Hong Kong, China; Tijuana, Mexico; and a showroom/office in New York City at the International Toy Center. The company has a wide distribution network, which includes leading national stores such as Wal-mart, Kmart, Kay-Bee Toys, and Toys 'R Us. The company is the #1 manufacturer of bubbles and bubble toys in the world and the producer of the #1 selling brand of young girl role-play accessories in the country."  I personally have searched far and wide for these little guys to no avail, would love to know if anyone runs into them. Best regards, Franco.

PHTHALATE - FREE BABY PHOTO BOOK
I am searching for a Baby Photo Book similar to the product manufactured by Sassy called "Who loves Baby", a product that is made of a soft material that you can insert photos into for baby to look at and learn to recognize family members. Unfortunately, this product manufactured by Sassy contains phthalates which I understand is not to be put in a baby's mouth. This product is not technically a "teething" toy but of course, baby's will put it in their mouths so I would prefer to be cautious. Any suggestions? Annabelle's Mummy, Harrop.

PHYSICS ASSIGNMENT
I have to do an experiment in physics class. We need to submit a car that will move on the falling of a weight, not to exceed 1kilogram in mass. It has to move about ten meters, and then stop at wall. To make this harder, I also need to put an egg on the front of it. Of course when it stops at the wall the egg can not break. Or the car can stop before hitting the wall at a dotted line. Do you have any ideas on how to make this project?

PHYSICS ASSIGNMENT - RESPONSE
That sounds like an interesting assignment! There is a book called Teaching Science With Toys by Jerry Sarquis. It is listed on my site at

Dr. Toy's Bookstore . It may be available at . The ISBN is 88382204-1. I don't exactly understand the assignment from your summary, so please, send the precise directions to me.

PLASTER OF PARIS MONSTER MACHINE
I am trying to find the name of a great toy I had as a child, to give to my son. It is used for making hollow plaster of Paris busts and money-boxes of Dracula, Frankenstein, werewolf etc. It was available sometime in the late 70's to early 80's, I thought it's name was something like "Monster Machine" or "Monster Factory" and I think it was made by Mattel but I cannot find any reference anywhere on the web. Essentially, it involved filling a clear hard-plastic mould with plaster of Paris, then placing the mould in a plastic frame (I think the color of the frame was green and/or purple). After it is locked in place, you turn the handle of the machine for several minutes to spin the frame around and make the plaster spread throughout the mould. After it sets, the it can then be painted. I am looking for the name of this product, and if possible, where to purchase it. Please help. Thank you, Andrew

PLASTIC BIRD - FLYING - VALUE
I have a childhood toy that I received in the late 1970's. It was purchased at a Saturday Market in Portland, Oregon. It is a plastic bird with plastic wings and it flies. There is a rubber band inside the body and when you wind up the band using a plastic handle on the tail. The wings flap and the bird flies. I still have the original box with extra bands. I know nothing about this toy except that the box is written in French and it says it was made in France. The names on the box are Tim de Ruymbeke on the front of the box and the word Pax on the side. Do you have any information on this toy? Is there any monetary value? Do they still make them? Thank you, Shannon.

PLASTIC HINGED LEG WOBBLE - WALKING FIGURE
I played with a toy in the 1960's. It was a small (around 2 x 3") hard plastic toy that was hollow with hinged legs. I had a bucket of them -- a horse, a cow, a sheep. With no wind-up or motor, the plastic animals would wobble-walk down an incline. Do you know the name of this toy? I'd like to try to collect some but don't know what to call them. Many thanks, Ruth

PLASTIC POTS AND PANS WITH FACES
Where can I find a ten piece set of hard plastic pots and pans with faces on them? I received a set like this for Christmas in 1973; it had a skillet, a couple of saucepans, a teakettle, a coffeepot, and a long-handled spoon. I found similar pieces listed on Ebay under "Pott's Family Toy Pans," but there was not a complete set, and they were different colors. Jennifer.

PLAY AREA - KITCHEN - 1
I am looking for a way to order a kitchen that is made by The Original San Francisco Toy Company. I already have one of them. It is an incredibly well made miniature kitchen that has a lot of true-to-life parts. It has a refrigerator that has a front door water/ice dispenser (which makes the noise of ice/water going into a cup). It has a sink and a stove. The stove has four burners. Passing a frying pan with a pancake in it, from one burner to the next, makes the pancake flip. Other unique features include a popcorn popper that pops, a blender, a toaster, a ketchup bottle, and a container of Breyer's ice cream. Do you know how to find additional information on this toy, like how to order and how much it costs? Thanks!

They go by the name "Playground Kids" and were distributed by Ertl in the early 1990's. The letters "PK" are molded on the bottom of the shoes and "TCFC 1990" is printed on the back of the head. We had two of them and my now grown older daughters passed them down to their younger sisters. One of the dolls was lost and I would like to replace it as a gift to her. I bought my little girl a green stuffed dog for her first birthday from the United Kingdom in spring 2003. We have recently lost him and she's very very upset about it. He had a flat but stuffed face and very long arms that had beans in the paws. His body had no stuffing in at all but his feet were full of beans also. His face was cream and he had eyes that were lopsided and made by stitched on felt. There was also a blue mouse in the range who also had an unstuffed body. He was a cross between a toy dog and a comforter. The shop was Tiny Tinkers in Haywards Heath but they no longer stock them and they can't remember who makes them. Please help if you can, we need a replacement. Thank you. Kate.

I am looking for a stuffed musical "Frosty the Snowman" that my daughter received from her grandparents in 1993.  They purchased it from the local Kmart and when I contacted Kmart they apologized but said their buyers destroy information after 7 years.  Our 11 year old brought this stuffed animal everywhere and would be so happy if we could find a replacement. Thank you for your help.

PLUSH TOY - DOG with "LOVE"
I have a stuffed animal dog that is about 2 feet tall and was bought at a Hallmark store in La Palma, CA in 1982.  I can't read the tag anymore, but from what I can make out, the brand on it says in orange letter's "LOVE".  So I am assuming the brand was "LOVE".  He isn't a typical looking dog...he has arms and legs like a human would, but he is all stuffed and his face and ears are what make him a 'dog'.  He is all brown with a white muzzle and a little white patch on his upper chest.  I slept with him for many years as a child and so he is pretty worn.  I thought it would be neat if I could locate another one of him (since I am sure more than just one was made).  I have no clue where to start though.  He is a very special dog. Can you help? Thanks, Heather

RIDE ON TOY - KRAZY CAR
I'm looking for this same type of riding toy. We had one in the late 1970's - early 1980's. Very safe and teaches eye/hand coordination. Sally.

I am interested in knowing how much "Tony the Pony" cost new in the 1960's and how much are you selling for it now? What is it worth?

RIDE ON TOY - TONY THE PONY
I also have a Tony the Pony.  It's the only toy to survive my childhood.  I've been trying to get information on it also.  If you know of anywhere I could find out what it's worth, or perhaps get parts for it, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Dennis.

RIDE ON TOY - WONDER HORSE
Is a toy called Wonder Horse still around? My nephew used to play on one. It was a ride-on toy. It was on a platform and had springs. It could be that the large exposed springs were dangerous, and that the toy is no longer on the market. Grayce.

RIDE ON TOY - WRAP AROUND PONY - RESPONSE
It is the gallop n go wrap around or the hip hugger. Look up under these names and you will get multiple hits...

RIDE-ON - 1960's to 1970's
In the late 1960's early 1970's during the big NASA moon landings, there were ALOT of toys I remember as a small boy(being born in 1963). The one toy I have been looking for information on was built in these years by Mattel I belive, and if Im not mistaken it was called The X14. It was a 3 wheeled riding toy constructed of metal, and was steered by a stick much like an old airplane woud be. It was basically the predessor to the Big Wheel of later years. I would love to find a picture of one to show my children and wife, being as how Ive talked about it so much. If you could possibly find anything on this toy, Id appreciate it all too much. Thank you.

RIDE-ON - 1970's to 1980's
This ride on toy was made in the 1970's or 1980's I beileve (my sister born in 1985 had one). I think it was made by Little Tikes. It was a Yellow Duck with 4 wheels and it had a wood handle with red rubber gribs through it's head. It's long discontinued, any idea's as to where I could find one? Thanks.

RIDE-ON - RIDE-ON HORSE
I have a today's kids "Midnight" horse purchased in the mid 1990's. the horse is in great shape, but the rubber bands are getting brittle. I can't find anywhere to get replacement bands. These bands lasted 8 years. This is the best and sturdiest horse I've seen, and I don't want to get rid of it. Thanks, Kathy.

RIDE-ON - SPACE TRAINER - 1960'S
I am trying to locate any information about a promotional toy that my husband won as a child in the early 1960's. He knows the toy as a "space trainer" which he won on the Foreman Scotty Show in Oklahoma City as part of their kid's birthday club. It looks similar to a single seat ferris wheel, the child would sit in it and hold on and spin around where their head would go around to the ground and back up again. I'm interested in any information, but most specifically, who was the maker, did it have a different name from space trainer, how many were made, and what it might be worth today.

RIDE-ON - WIGGLE WAGON
During the mid-1970's, my younger sister had a ride-on-toy called a Wiggle Wagon. Has anyone heard of it, and do you know what the name of the company was that made it?

RIDING CAR - BATMOBILE - LATE 1960's
I am looking for info on a Batmobile riding car in the mid to late 1960's.  Approx. 3 ft. long, black with a bright red steering wheel in the shape of a bat.  I would like to know Maker, etc. Tim.

RIDING CAR - BATMOBILE - RESPONSE
The Batmobile you describe was made by Louis Marx & Co. It had a black plastic body, a red bat shaped steering wheel that "squeaked", a microphone just in front of the windshield, a functional trunk lid with 3 rubber "missile launchers", and chrome hubs on the wheels. I have an obstructed photo of the original box it came in (Christmas circa 1965-1966). It shows the upper right corner. I would like to see a picture of one just if anyone has one. This was my favorite riding toy for years.

RIDING TOY - BOUNCING HORSE
In the early 1970's we had a ride on horse that was either black and white or brown and white. You could sit on the horse and bounce, the legs of the horse would allow you to bounce and move, and it had small wheels on the bottom of each hoof so that it could move. I would like to find one to purchase. Kathleen.

RIDING TOY - SCOOTER - KICK ôn' GO
We found a Kick ôn' Go in a closed off area of the basement of a house we bought. We are interested in finding out more about this toy. What is its value now? Who would be interested in buying one? Is it a collectible? It is dirty, but in very good condition. It is a scooter type of bicycle. It is red and white and has handlebars with a brake type system. It says made by Honda on it. This house was built in the early 1970's.

RIDING TOY - THREE WHEELED - "CHEETAH"
In the late 1970's, I had a riding toy called the Cheetah. It was a three-wheel riding toy that looked like a chopper bike in miniature and was propelled by pedalling. I am looking for the manufacturer or any information on how to locate one. Jim.

ROBOT - AQUATIC -1960's
I purchased what appears to be a 1960s toy robot.  It actually looks an aquatic robot ... a robotic frogman ... you get the drift.  Anyway, there's no toy company insignia to be found, so I was curious to see if you can identify it.  The robot has a jet pack (houses batteries), and makes a series of sounds, including a blast off/jet sound, a swimming sound, and various beeps that correspond to the blinking wand in his right hand.  Anything you can tell me would be appreciated. Matthew

ROBOT - NAMED TOBOR - 1970's
I want to know about a toy robot named TOBOR. He was colored black and was "click-controlled,' much like the "Clapper" device advertised on TV for controlling appliances. He was made in the late 1970's. Tom.

I want to know about a toy robot named TOBOR. He was colored black and was "click-controlled,' much like the "Clapper" device advertised on TV for controlling appliances. He was made in the late 1970Æs.

ROBOTS - TRANSFORMER-like
I want to find a toy I used to have when I was younger, but I can hardly remember what it looked like or the name of the toy. All I remember is that it was about eight years ago and the toy was a truck that turned into a giant (like Transformers),but the eyes were just two little lines and it shot out a smile from it's chest. If you have any idea what I'm talking about please e-mail back because I really don't know where else to look.

ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS - 1
My husband has been asking for Rock'em Sock'em Robots every year for Christmas, and I'm having a hard time finding one in toy stores and antique stores. I was curious if it is still being made. If not, would you know where I could fine one? Thanks for your help.

ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS - 2

ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS - 3
I need to know how to get my desperate little hands on the old Robots that knocked each other's heads off! I read your site and I see that I'm not alone, I only hope there's some out there for this thirty six year old man that I've become. Help now! Sincerely, Cleo.

ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS - 4
I am in search of a late 1970's toy called Rock'em Sock'em Robots. I'm turning up empty handed. My husband, who will be thirty-one this January, still seems somewhat "bitter" about not having received this toy as a child. I thought it would be fun to give it to him for his birthday.

ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS - 5
My dad loves Rock Em Sock Em Robots. I've seen the new Toy Story 2 Rock Em Sock Em Robots, with Buzz vs. Zurg, and also the Batman vs. Joker set. These just aren't the same as the old set that I'm looking for. That kind consists of a wrestling ring with a blue robot and a red robot. Thanks, Amy.

ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS - 6
I am looking for something similar to Rock'em Sock'em Robots. I thought I recently saw an ad. Thanks, Alan.

ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS - RESPONSE
Rock'em Sock'em Robots was made my Marx Toys in 1962. Some years later the original company closed and the Marx molds were in legal dispute between two companies who had bought the rights to them. Ideal toys came out with a similar toy in the late 1980's with slight updates. The legal dispute was recently settled and a new Marx Toys is now in business with a showroom in the Toy Building in NYC. The owner however is only bringing back the older and simpler classics. Because Ideal came out with something similar, he wants to wait before a re-release of Rock'em Sock'em, maybe another five years. The only place you may find one is in an antique store, where you'll probably pay about $150.00 for it, or check some toy auctions on the web. Hope this helps, Carl.

ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS - RESPONSE
Check out a place called Cybetoyz. They recently had a set of Rock'em Sock'ems, original ones, I believe. They also have another version that shows up as sold. But they do have a toys wanted section you can post a message there. Good luck with your search.

ROCK'EM SOCK'EM ROBOTS - RESPONSE
Checking on eBay is always a good place to find toys from our youth. I've found lots of things there that I thought I'd never see again. Lisa

ROLLER COASTER CONSTRUCTION SET
About ten to twelve years ago I acquired a roller coaster construction set that consisted of a plastic base, aluminum poles about twelve inches in length, one eighth inch nylon tubing, a few steel balls and a corkscrew lift to carry the balls to the top of the track. It was completely customizable. RUBBER FACE BEAR - DRINKS AND CRIES
My sister had a bear when whe was little, like between 1976-1982. This bear had a rubber/vinyl face and had both a hole in the mouth to feed water too with a dropper and also a small hole in each eye so when you squeeze him he crys. He has a brown terry cloth body. He was ruined in the sun back when my sister was little and I would like to find another one for her. It looks like a cross between a Rushton bear because of the rubber like face, but has sad eyes like the Galoob "Lost N Founds", but I don't think it is either of those. I can't find any other manufacturers that made a cloth bear with a rubber/vinyl face that cried tears. Please help if you can.

RUBBER SQUEEZE TOY FIGURES - 1960's
I am looking for (or at least to find the name of) a toy I had in the late 1960's - early 1970's. It was a white rubber squeeze toy figure of a man in a toga robe. The tips of his shoes peeked out of his robe and he had a knobby nose. Do you have any idea of what this toy would have been called?

RULDOLSTADT - GERMANY - CHILDS TEA SET
I own a child's tea set that portrays two children with gardening tools and what appear to be strawberries. The set seems complete, with some damage to two or three pieces. The seal on the bottom states Ruldolstadt, made in Germany; the seal looks like a B with a five-tined crown over it. I would love to find out where I could find more information about the pieces.
