Dr. Toy's Children's Products Awards Programs

This section provides guidelines for companies to submit products for review by Dr. Toy.

New Submissions

There are four award programs held by Dr. Toy each year. Any company with a product suitable for consideration in Dr. Toy's Award Programs is invited to do the following:

Send Dr. Toy a press kit and catalog along with a cover letter to the address below, or with the subject: Toy Programs 2005.

If Dr. Toy agrees that the product(s) should be evaluated, then you will be sent an application and further instructions. Do not send the product(s) ahead of time. There is no guarantee of selection. No materials are returned. If not evaluated and included in one of the programs, it will be donated to a needy children's program.

Only a limited number of products that fit a lengthy set of criteria are selected.

Dr. Toy's Schedule for Best Product's Awards Programs 2005

• Best Classic Toys Program
  January 5 - March 4, 2005 (deadline for submitting all products).
  Reviews in March.
  Final report released and on line April 1st, coinciding with Week of Young Child" April 3-9 2005 and "Turn Off the TV" week.
  This program seeks the most outstanding products available for at least ten years.
  
• Smart Play Smart Toys and Products of Excellence Program
  January 24 - March 4, 2005 (deadline for submitting all products).
  Reviews in January, February and March.
  Final report released and on line April 1st, coinciding with "Week of Young Child" April 3-9 2005 and "Turn Off the TV" week.
  This program seeks the most outstanding toys and products available that promote children’s activity, creativity and learning and are products that support and supplement the child’s experiences.
  
• Best Vacation Products Program
  April 8 - May 6, 2005 (deadline for submitting all products).
  Reviews in May.
  Final report released and on line June 17th in time for summer vacation promotion. Summer begins June 21st.
  This program seeks most useful products for after school activities, travel, crafts, hobbies, books, tapes, videos and other leisure time products for activity, fun and learning.
  
• 100 Best Children's Products Program
  June 22 - August 8, 2005 (deadline for submitting all products).
  Reviews in August and September.
  Final report released and on-line October 7th in time for the Fall/Holiday features.
  This program seeks to recognize the outstanding new learning and developmental skills products of the year. Includes products that promote creativity, education, and physicality, as well as other aspects that assist children with language, other skills, and emotional and social development.

Graphics Files

To have an image of your award-winning product displayed on our website, attach an image file and , or send a copy on a diskette or photograph to the street address listed below.

Our goal is to have the pages load quickly (not everyone has DSL), so the image are generally reduced in size.

We are aiming for a uniform 250 pixel square of 100 DPI.
